Water slide fun August 17, 2010 T. Cho I bought this last summer but finally getting around to write up a review.
This slide is great, our two older children (5yo and 3yo) love it. I like this slide because it seems to work for smaller kids. The slide portions are not too steep and the climbing wall (middle section) is not too difficult. A 2yo could play on it but would need a parents help. 3yo up to I would say 6yo would be a good range for this slide.
Our kids can play on it for hours, we have probably used it for at least 100 hours so far. The slide has held up well. We have had 10 to 15 kids play on it at once and nothing has ripped yet over the past 2 years of ownership. I am seeing one stitch on the left slide coming undone. I would guess we can use it for at least 2 to 3 more summers.
It comes with a storage bag and it is not too difficult to get it back in. It is a bit heavy but my 5ft, 2in 105lbs wife can bring it out. Set up is a cinch takes about 15 minutes after the first time. The blower motor is strong. This slide is pretty strong, I (5ft, 8in 160lbs) can get up their will my 5yo and 3yo and does not sag.
WOW! I never thought I'd say that about an inflatable overpriced bouncer! July 7, 2010 J. Granquist (Lincoln, Nebraska) I have done home childcare for 9 years. I've bought alot of LT stuff, they never dissappoint!
I honestly never thought I'd buy anything inflatable, let alone one so pricey & huge when we already have wooden climbers & plastic slides & trampolines & riding toys & swings.
I eat my words happily!
We were having a neighborhood 4th of July block party and a local family had the LT Rocky Mountain River Race listed for sale for $100 on our local CL. So I bit. Glad I did!
The kids & adults all had a blast! Littles played in the bottom pool, olders climbed up & slid down, biggers thought it was fun to help "guide" the dumper bucket full of water on the kids below. They played on it all night and we set it out the next morning to dry(never did get dry!) as the kids once again came from every crack & crevace to play on it once they saw we had it up again.
So much for my day off! Lol!
I haven't used it for daycare yet, but I know when we do they will all have a blast from my littlest to my oldest. And I have so much fun watching them! And I bet I can use it when it isn't quite so warm without water & have it be just as fun! Think ball pit at the bottom.....hmmmm!
It was easy to unfold & set up, easy to take down & roll up. I can see that drying for final storage for winter will be challenging, but it's a good problem to have!
I'm most concerned about it dying(it is my first inflatable!) or the blower not working. Because I know I'll get talked into paying full price for another one! It is THAT awesome(trust me, I'm cheap!).
Our best toy purchase! June 24, 2010 Mel Stein (MANSFIELD, OH, US) We bought this slide for our 4 and 2 year old. When they saw it, they couldn't contain themselves. Quick set up, quick tear down, and durable. We took it to my inlaws for all the cousins (24 in all) to enjoy, and showed no signs of giving up! My husband and I have also used it (160lbs, and 130lbs), still standing! I would buy this product again.
Paid $299 on clearance. Worth much more.
Great! I wish it would have lasted longer. June 14, 2010 Melissa Williams (Nashville, TN USA) I bought this slide for $400 in Spring 2009. Three kids, loved it. I was thrilled with it because it was easy to set up. It was easy to take with us to a friends house. They played on it almost everyday. It did become a little sun-faded but still great. As the summer went by, we had played on it for about 2 months, I noticed it wasn't holding air very well. I looked everywhere for holes to patch with the repair kit. No Holes anywhere. I even used a little windex to see if it would make bubbles where the holes were. I then realized that the seams were stretching apart. It got worse and within two more weeks, I had to make them stop playing on it. The largest kid that was ever on it was about 80 lbs. And I never let them on the top at the same time. Now this summer, it is in the garage, needs to go to the landfill and the kids want another one, but the kid in me went overboard on this one and can't buy another one. It was great while it lasted.
Lovin' it! May 26, 2010 Latricia Snider (Stillwater, OK) We have put this slide out all week since the summer heat is here and we could not be more thrilled. The kids love it, it's perfect for our 5 year old, she just screams with excitement and great for my smallest one too who is 21 months old. He can splash and play in something shallow and he also climbs it and slides down without any problems. It does go up in a minute, I'm sure folding it back up will and storing it will be a little tricky because nothing ever goes back in the way it came, but we have a blow-up moonbounce too and it is along the same lines, you just fold it up the best you can. You could easily use this slide for several kids. Shop around though, we found a big variation on the price.
